Goodwill® opens Bowling Green employment services center

Bowling Green, Ky.  — Goodwill Industries of Kentucky held a grand opening today of its Bowling Green Employment Services Center. Located at 1806 U.S. Highway 31 West Bypass, the facility also houses a newly renovated donated goods center.

The redesigned facility, which previously housed a division office for Goodwill, includes space for employment counseling, a fully-equipped computer lab for job searches and resume writing, and job training for individuals and small groups. The center serves Bowling Green and surrounding communities in western Kentucky.

“This region is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic parts of our state,” said John Wade, vice president of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky. “As our region grows, we look forward to connecting more people looking for jobs here with employment opportunities.”

The site also is a Goodwill Job Junction, which means “light touch” employment services are provided free of charge – including job leads; computer, internet and phone access; resume development, and other services.

“We’re a hub for the surrounding counties here,” said T.J. Shockley-Hunt, workforce development manager for Goodwill Industries of Kentucky. “I’m really excited about the positive impact this place will have in so many communities and on so many lives.”

Goodwill’s Employment Services Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. For more information, call (270) 781-4959.
