Kentucky boasts some beautiful lakes and parks for the outdoor enthusiast. What better place to find some much-needed gear than at one of the many Goodwill stores scattered across our state?

My husband, Terry, was more than happy when he found this all-weather Columbia jacket at the Columbia Goodwill.  It was the perfect garment for an early morning sunrise on the lake.

The jacket is made of water repellent material and has four outside zippered pockets for carrying small items. The Velcro on the sleeves is perfect for easy adjusting and the netted lining inside adds to the jacket’s lightweight comfort.

This jacket began its retail journey in some high-end department or sporting goods store. However, we purchased it for less than $5.

Goodwill is a fun and frugal place to shop.  Plus, you never really know just what you’re going to find. It’s all about the hunt!
