KentuckianaWorks Youth Career Center
The KentuckianaWorks Youth Career Center provides services for at-risk youth ages 16-21 in four Kentucky counties—Bullitt, Oldham, Henry, and Trimble—in coordination with adult education programs and numerous community partners. The program focuses on three areas:
- Improving basic skills and achieving secondary school credentials
- Entering and supporting the retention and completion of advanced training
- Entering and retaining employment
The Youth Career Center is headquartered in Shepherdsville in Bullitt County. Individuals can walk in for assistance or be referred by the public school systems, adult education programs, or other community partners and agencies. Participants must be eligible under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) to receive services.
