We at Goodwill Industries of Kentucky are proud to celebrate National Employ Older Workers Week by highlighting a program that is designed for low-income job seekers age 55 or older.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) connects older workers to on-the-job training in a professional work environment in their community that helps them move into paid employment. The program is offered in 54 counties in the eastern part of the commonwealth.

The goal is to provide training and employment services for approximately 415 rural Kentuckians this program year. Since 2017, our SCSEP effort has helped more than 1800 senior workers in local communities across rural counties.
