Goodwill Industries of Kentucky received a $50,000 donation today from Molina Healthcare to support the nonprofit organization’s Reintegrating Individuals Successfully Every Day (RISE) program in Lexington. This donation is a part of Molina’s efforts to support comprehensive community improvements across Kentucky.

“We are grateful to partner with generous and forward-thinking organizations like Molina Healthcare,” said Marsha Berry, vice president of career services. “We are extremely appreciative that they are willing to support our mission to help individuals bypass barriers that may stand in the way to a better quality of life.”

The RISE-Lexington program will support Goodwill’s mission to help people with personal, professional or physical obstacles achieve and maintain employment by providing career services for Kentuckians reentering the workforce. These services include workshops in behavioral health, communications, financial literacy, substance abuse, expungement and legal overviews, resume building and employer interviews. RISE-Lexington also provides coursework, credentialing and certifications for specific job roles.

“Molina Healthcare is excited to support the important work of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky and their RISE-Lexington program, which helps Kentuckians make positive changes in their personal lives and in their local communities,” said Dwayne Sansone of Molina Healthcare of Kentucky. “At Molina, we have a deep understanding of the various struggles that vulnerable populations face, and the RISE-Lexington program fits well with the holistic approach to peoples’ well-being that Molina supports.”
