Goodwill Industries of Kentucky Vice President of External Affairs DeVone Holt recently spoke as part of a panel interview with Louisville Business First. Holt spoke about workforce development and growing employment issues throughout the region.
“Not only do we operate with a mission to help people who are challenged in life find pathways to successful careers, but we also use our retail stores as a platform to help,” said Holt when asked about solutions to address staffing shortages. “We have 70-plus career coaches around the state and last year alone, we had almost 3,000 men and women placed into jobs through those career coaches with about 700 employers throughout Kentucky.”
