Resource centers to be rebranded as “Opportunity Centers”

We recently announced that we’ll be shifting how and where we serve Kentuckians in need.

Earlier this year, we announced a $100 million partnership with Norton Healthcare and unveiled plans to open the commonwealth’s first “Opportunity Campus” in West Louisville. We will begin rebranding current resource centers and opening “Opportunity Centers” throughout the commonwealth to provide wraparound services for people in its communities.

Lexington Opportunity Center

We’re ready to roll out our new Resource Center model in Lexington!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand opening of our Lexington “Opportunity Center” – its doors are open for anyone in need!

If you need help, please visit the Center at 130 W. New Circle Road, Suite 110 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or give us a call at (859) 277-3661.

We’ll update this page with a calendar of services for the Center when it’s made available.

Louisville Resource Center

We recently expanded the scope, role and space of our Louisville Resource Center, located at 909 East Broadway.

With the intent to improve lives by connecting those in need with a network of resources, we’ve also enhanced our career services operations model to better support job seekers in a deeper and more impactful way.

Below, you will find links to descriptions and an updated schedule of events and employer partners at our Louisville Resource Center on a daily basis, as well as an informational flyer. Please visit the Center for any of these resources at the appropriate time and check back weekly for updates to this schedule.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We’re collaborating with community and employer partners to help Kentuckians overcome barriers to gain employment and become self-sufficient. Individuals seeking support can now come to the Louisville Resource Center to meet with Goodwill career coaches or community partners for various support services:

  • Financial and budgeting support
  • Applied digital skills in the newly designed computer lab
  • Information about our programs, including Goodwill Cars to Work, Another Way, Last Mile to Work
  • Behavioral, mental and spiritual health support
  • Housing assistance
  • Addiction treatment
  • Legal and expungement services
  • Soft skills certification
  • Forklift accreditations
  • SNAP assistance
  • Much more!

As we continue to build this model in Louisville and Lexington, we plan to replicate it throughout the commonwealth. We have plans to expand this service model into other markets and with other partners. Stay tuned for schedules for each location as they’re made available.
